Voices of Town Hall

The Town Hall is a national NYC landmark that has hosted countless cultural and musical milestones since 1921. Voices of Town Hall is a project that celebrated Town Hall’s 100 year anniversary by bringing together and sharing for the first time never-before-heard highlights from the Hall’s archives. The legacy project serves as a research tool showcasing some of the most influential voices of activists and artists who shaped New York and America’s cultural history.

Collaboration:

Created a series of promotional materials that advertised the 100 yr. Legacy Project launch with a classic design approach, using established brand colors and archival photos. Designed a website landing page where scholars, artists and educational organizations can access seeking to explore the Town Hall Archival Materials for research.

“The day of the show, I looked out at the audience, sitting in neat rows with no drinks in their hands, no cigarette girls walking up and down to distract them, and no out-of-tune piano to ruin my performance...I walked on like an Egyptian Queen - slow, calm and serious. The reviews were the best I had ever had.”

NINA SIMONE

“The Town Hall has welcomed Gilberto Gil, Joan Baez, Stephen Colbert, Ani DiFranco, Jack White, Patti Smith, Larry David, Tig Notaro, Garrison Keillor and NPR’s “Prairie Home Companion,” Ray LaMontagne, Ira Glass, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and some of the finest talents in stand-up comedy and dance.”

“Civic Discourse features visionaries and thinkers who explore some of the nation’s most complex challenges—and offer thought-provoking ideas that can help solve them. Panel discussions are followed by lively Q&As from the audience in the hall and those viewing the livestream.”
